Our office direct bills almost 100 different insurance companies, which each have their own policies that may affect benefits paid.
Benefit coverage is a contract between yourself, the insurance company and your employer, not the dentist. As a courtesy to our patients, we will accept and process your dental claims with your insurance company which will pay you directly.
Insurance companies do not inform dental offices of changes to your policy. We encourage you to know your plan and keep us informed of any changes.
Our office generates our fees directly from the current British Columbia Periodontal Specialty fee guide. Many insurance policies base their benefits on past fee guides or the general practitioner fee guide, resulting in charges to the patient.
Dr. Song will offer a treatment plan that will best suit your needs. This treatment plan may or may not fall within the parameters of your dental plan.
Dental treatment required can be sent off electronically for predetermination from your insurance company. Approvals from insurance companies provide our office with an estimate only.
If you have any questions, our staff members are qualified to assist you and will help make sure you receive all the benefits to which you are entitled.
